Center of urban quarter Freiham Nord

Rosa-Alscher Group sells two plots of land to ISARIA Wohnbau, a company for residential development and one of the partner companies realizing the new quarter

Munich, May 16, 2019 – The center of the proposed urban quarter Freiham Nord is developing fast. At the end of January, Munich Future City West GmbH, a company of the Rosa-Alscher Group, announced the winner of the project design competition for the building and landscape design. Now the sales contract for two of the four plots of land has been concluded: The Munich company ISARIA Wohnbau AG will work in close partnership with Rosa-Alscher in realizing the concept of the Hamburg architects Störmer Murphy and Partners GbR.

Land-use and zoning plan (Bebauungsplan) designates a total floor area of 40,300 m2 to ISARIA's two plots of land

The center of Freiham Nord will be grouped around Mahatma Gandhi Square and comprise a total floor area of 86,050 m2. According to the land-use and zoning plan, the two plots of land MK2 (1) and MK2 (2) are designated to have a total floor area of 14,800 and 25,500 m2. Buildings featuring striking arcades as well as one high-rise residential building will comprise this floor space and together form the distinctive architectural signature of the urban quarter. These projects are mainly intended for residential use. In addition, on the ground floor and the first floor of the high-rise building, space has also been designated for retail outlets and restaurants, as well as offices. In the conclusion of the sales contract, company manager Alexander Rosa-Alscher sees a great opportunity for realizing the ambitious requirements for urban development on the western city boundaries of Munich according to plan: "The sale of these plots of land is an agreement between partners. We value ISARIA as an experienced project developer and fully trust that ISARIA will successfully meet the challenge of designing the focal point of Munich's new urban quarter." For the sale of the two plots of land in Freiham, Colliers International acted as adviser to the Rosa-Alscher Group.
